Over the coming months, Trine University IT will be implementing several changes to improve account security while making the sign-in experience easier for users.

These improvements include:

Windows Hello for Business: Introducing passwordless sign-in using a secure PIN specific to your Trine-managed computer. This will not affect classroom or lab computers. 

Longer, Stronger Passwords: Increasing the minimum password length from 10 to 15 characters, with an emphasis on using memorable passphrases instead of complex, difficult-to-remember passwords.

Eliminating Yearly Password Expiration: Once you establish a new password that meets the updated requirements, you will no longer be required to change it yearly unless a security concern requires it.
