How to Move Items in Moodle - OneTopic Course Format

If you would like to move items Moodle, you can do the following:

1. Turn editing on:


2. Once your editing is turned on, you will see a set of intersecting perpendicular arrows appear to the left of each moveable item within your course. You can click, hold and drag those items wherever you would like:


If you would like to items from one tab to another rather than from within one tab, please follow the instructions below:


1. Scroll to the bottom of the tab that you would like to move content from

2. Select and expand the Tabs Edition Utilities menu:

 

3. From there, you will want to select Disable underneath Asynchronous Edit Actions:

 

4. Once you disable this, you will see double-sided arrows next to all of the activities:

 

5. Once you select the double-sided arrows, you will start seeing white blanks throughout your course (on all of the different tabs). You are then free to move the selected items to those white spaces:


 

6. If you want to go back to the previous editing view, you will want to return to the Tabs Edition Utilities area and select Enable to revert the changes that you made. Otherwise, you can just Turn Editing Off.
