1. While you are configuring the Forum for the first time, within the Whole Forum Grading menu, you can select Rubric as your Grading method:

2. Alternatively, after you have created the Forum, you can open the forum assignment, select the gear icon, and select Advanced Grading:

3. Once you are in that area, change the active grading method to Rubric:

 4. Then, you will choose whether you would like to make a brand-new rubric or if you would prefer to use a template:

5. If you choose to use a template (that you didn’t make, you can search for it). If you have already created a rubric in the past and want to re-use it, you will want to make sure you select include my own forms prior to searching:

6. Once you find a template/rubric that you would like to use, select Use this template below the respective rubric:

7. Once you confirm your template selection you will be able to use the template as is or you can make modifications by selecting Edit the current form definition:

8. If you choose to make changes, do not forget to Save your changes.

9. To grade with the rubric, you will need to open the Forum and select Grade users:

 10. Once you open the Grade users’ interface, you will see an appended rubric:

11. Proceed with grading in the Whole Forum format.
