Teams in Moodle - Copy link from Microsoft Outlook Meeting

You can copy an existing Microsoft Teams meeting in Outlook into your Moodle course for Virtual Office hours, 1:1 meetings, or student use. This is handy since your meeting invitations are emailed to your students and will be on their calendars too!

1) Create a  Teams meeting in Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Teams. It is advised you enable your attendees to bypass the lobby and leave the defaults for video and audio.

2) Copy the link from the Teams meeting by right-clicking on the link and selecting the copy option.

3) Open Moodle and enable editing in your course.

4) Select to Add a activity or resource at the bottom of the page or section.

5) Select the URL option from the list.

6) Enter the name of the newly created activity. Using Teams meeting or something that highlights the purpose of the link will help students.

7) Paste the copied Teams meeting link into the External URL space using the CTRL+V command or right-click and select Paste

8) Select one of the Save options at the bottom of the page.
