Some professors have materials for courses available in OverDrive.
You likely will begin with a link (example): https://trine.overdrive.com/media/1044967
That will take you directly to the item. Click the “Borrow” button.
From there you will need to sign in.
You will use your Trine username to sign in (NOT your email).
Your username is the first part of your email up to, but not including, the @ sign.
For the email [email protected] the username would be: studenta
Use your regular Trine password.
If you are unable to sign in using your username, send an email to [email protected]. Occasionally the library needs to add a user manually. This usually happens with very short last names or very new students.
A pop-up window will prompt you to select lending period length. Most are set for 21 days since many of these items charge the library each time they are borrowed.
You will not need to return the book to the library. It will automatically disappear on the due date.
Once you have borrowed the item you will have the option to read it in your browser, download as an EPUB or read now with Kindle.
If you choose to “Read now in browser”, you will also be able to open it the Libby app on another device, just as you would an Overdrive book you’ve borrowed from your public library.
If there is something that you want to read, you can go directly to Trine’s OverDrive page and search there: https://trine.overdrive.com/. There are many popular books available that have waiting lists at most public libraries.
If you already have the Libby App, you can add Trine’s library from within the app to search, borrow, and read directly from there.
When prompted, follow the directions for username and password above.
