What is MagicSchool AI?

MagicSchool AI is a cutting-edge educational platform that provides artificial intelligence-powered solutions designed specifically for educators and students. Many faculty members and students have recently began reporting emails from The MagicSchool AI team. While the stance on engaging with AI tools and chat models has been to discourage usage, current workforce and industry trends are causing the outlook on AI policy in a different light. With the current and future trends and standards of the workforce in mind, Trine University is looking to partner with MagicSchool AI to better aid both faculty members and students. 

This integration is still ongoing and is not finalized yet, more information will be made readily available as we progress. As a result we ask that you please not mark the emails from the MagicSchool team as spam/phish, and instead create rules in your inbox to automatically filter them to a different folder than your focused inbox. As the integration progresses and the platform goes live, you will need to access emails from the MagicSchool team, and repeated reporting of the emails will cause them to begin going to your junk folder. 

Some functions of the AI model include, but are not limited to:

For Faculty:

• Generating lesson plans, rubrics, and assessments

• Creating personalized learning activities

• Supporting curriculum development

• Providing AI tools for grading assistance and feedback generation

For Students:

• Offering writing support (drafts, summaries, outlines)

• Helping brainstorm ideas and improve assignments

• Providing learning aids such as flashcards and study guides

• Answering academic questions in real time using AI

As part of this integration, you may receive emails from MagicSchool AI (e.g., notifications, account setup, or tool access invitations). These emails are safe and legitimate, and are not considered spam or phishing attempts, please do not mark these emails as spam. If you're unsure about an email, check that it comes from a trusted MagicSchool AI domain (magicschool.ai), or contact our IT Help Desk for verification. Your data is protected. MagicSchool AI follows strict privacy guidelines and FERPA compliance standards. Only authorized users at Trine University have access to this tool.
